June 07, 2016

On May 20th, 2016 the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce presented the Royal Eagle Award to ArtesMiami President Dr. Aida Levitan for her contributions to the South Florida community. The event, held at the Carnival Fantasy, was attended by hundreds of local business leaders.

The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President Lilliam Lopez announced that this is the first time that this prestigious award was presented to a woman. In the past, nationally recognized leaders such as Dr. Eduardo Padron, President of Miami Dade College, have received the award.

Dr. Levitan has devoted many years of her life to community service, after heading the number one Spanish-language advertising agency in the U.S. She serves on the board of the Smithsonian Latino Center, CCEMiami, and is a Trustee Emerita of the Perez Art Museum Miami.
